GENERAL
Members visit us and attend workshops and classes at their own risk. The workshop leaders have the right to remove individuals from workshops where their behaviour is deemed to be detrimental to the quality of the session for the majority.

It is your responsibility to ensure that we have your correct address, phone number and email address at all times and that our records are kept updated. Thinking Actors is compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Please refer to our privacy policy for further information.

Acting classes - evening
No roll-over, credit or refund is available for any missed acting classes or workshops. You remain liable to pay the full fee for missed session(s) to cover our administration time, planning and other costs. This includes the withdrawal from a course part way through; were your full liability for any outstanding subscription payments, or other payments relating to minimum commitment agreements, remain.
All planned absence MUST BE NOTIFIED in writing via email only to info@thinkingactors.co.uk An unplanned absence on the day of a class must be notified by midday, at the latest, by emailing info@thinkingactors.co.uk, or via a text message to 07970 828092.
Acting Classes - agreement
For courses that run throughout the academic year and/or with no pre-defined set duration, a minimum attendance is required. In line with other training establishments, we request a minimum commitment of four blocks or one academic term (whichever is the longest). One month's notice is required in writing if you decide to discontinue this agreement.

Specialist workshops
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to attend a specialist workshop that you have booked with Thinking Actors or their affiliates, you must let the Thinking Actors' office know as soon as possible by emailing info@thinkingactors.co.uk .
Absence on the day of a workshop must be communicated via emailing info@thinkingactors.co.uk or via text message to 07970 828092.

We operate a no-refunds policy and workshops are not transferable.
Meetings, appointments and consultancy
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, you must let our office know by email. ​
Absence on the day of a scheduled meeting must be communicated via email to info@thinkingactors.co.uk or via a text message to 07970 828092. Please note that cancellation or non-attendance on the day of a scheduled appointment will incur a £30.00 fee to cover preparation and administration time.
Online classes, workshops and other online events
No refund is available if, following a confirmed booking, you fail to attend a class or other event due to personal issues or illness etc.

THINKING ACTORS' CANCELLATION POLICY
All classes are held subject to a minimum group number decided by the company and their affiliates. Schedules and prices are subject to change. In the event that our company or its affiliates cancels a scheduled class or workshop that you have booked and paid for, a full refund will be issued within 5-10 working days. The company or its affiliates is not liable for any additional costs that cancellation or change of schedule may incur.
If a class or workshop is postponed due to reasons beyond our control - eg a temporary global, national or regional order to comply with government instruction - no refunds will be available. We will work towards rescheduling your class or workshop in due course. In the event that we take the decision to cancel an event, class or workshop, a full refund will be provided.
In the event that weekly, 'in-the-room' acting classes (eg Manchester acting classes) are disrupted due to future government changes, instructions or orders in relation to social distancing, we will continue to provide tuition online at a discounted price decided by Thinking Actors - and the minimum agreed commitment by you (the client) of four class bllocks or one term remains in place.
We operate a strict 'no refunds' policy once your booking has been confirmed and a commitment to attend has been made.

GENERAL PAYMENT, MONTHLY PAYMENT PLANS AND INVOICING - OTHER
If booking a course or service through the Thinking Actors' website, payments are generally collected at the time of booking. In cases where services are invoiced, we offer payment terms of 14 days. We will exercise our statutory right to claim interest (at 8% over the Bank of England base rate) and compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment legislation if we are not paid according to our agreed terms. An electronic payment receipt is issued for your records. All credit card, debit card and direct debit options are available. We do not accept cash payments.
For all weekly classes requesting a minimum commitment, payment is by direct debate subscription. Payments are automatically processed on the first day of the calendar month. If you ‘the client’ withdraw from a course and/or cancel your direct debit agreement or subscription with us, you remain legally liable to complete payment for any balance remaining, under our agreed terms.

Failed Payment / Late Payment Fees
In the event that Thinking Actors is unable to collect a subscription or other payment through GoCardless direct debit subscriptions or mandates, an administration fee of £10.00 will be added to cover costs associated with failed payments and subsequent resubmission requests via the direct debit processing company.
Booking workshops
Workshops must be paid for at the time of booking. Thinking Actors does not accept cheques. All credit card, debit card and direct debit options are available. In the event that a deposit payment option is available for the course or workshop that you have selected, the balance payment must be settled by the indicated due date and agreed terms - whether or not you attend the event.

CASTING DIRECTOR/CASTING ASSOCIATE WORKSHOPS

The intent of such workshops is educational and should not be considered a job interview or audition. Attending such workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor. It is a learning / educational experience. The presence of a Casting Director is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. Contact with a Casting Director at a workshop rarely results in any further contact with that Casting Director or any company affiliated with that Casting Director."
Actors signing up for a workshop accept the following Disclaimer:
"I understand that the presence of a Casting Director is absolutely not a guarantee or promise of employment. I further
understand that the intent of this class is solely educational and not a form of job interview or audition."

SPOTLIGHT
​
Thinking Actors is Spotlight accredited. This means that if you attend our Acting For Camera courses for two consecutive years, you may be eligible for Spotlight membership and we will support your application. Please note, however, a final decision, regarding your membership to Spotlight, rests with Spotlight.

CONSULTANCY FEES
We charge a consultancy fee of £50.00 per hour to cover our time and advice. This includes all project consultancy and advice services outside of packaged agreements in addition to general meeting requests. Failure to attend an agreed appointment, or a late notice to cancel will result in your full liability for this standard meeting fee. Please refer to Thinking Actors' Cancellation Policy Para 4 in this document.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA
Without expectation of compensation or other remuneration, now or in the future, attending our workshops, classes and/or events assumes consent to Thinking Actors, its affiliates and agents, to use your image and likeness in its publications, advertising or other media activities - including the Internet. This consent includes, but is not limited to:
(a) Permission to film, interview, photograph, tape, or otherwise make a video reproduction and/or record of voice;
(b) Permission to use my name; and
(c) Permission to use filming, photograph(s), tape(s) or reproduction(s), and/or recording of voice, in part or in whole, in its publications, in newspapers, magazines and other print media, on television, radio and electronic media (including the Internet), in theatrical media and/or in mailings for educational purposes and awareness.
This consent is given in perpetuity, and does not require any further prior approval.Thinking Actors and our creative division TA Creative retain the rights to all filmed footage for promotional and presentational purposes.

Your privacy is important to us. The Thinking Actors’ Privacy Policy describes what data we collect from you, the purpose for collecting the data in conjunction with the Thinking Actors’ Sites and Services, how we share, process, and manage your Personal Data, and your rights associated with your data. YOUR AGREEMENT WITH US
By electronically agreeing to our terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have carefully read and fully understood our terms of service and the legally binding nature of such an agreement.
