Terms & Conditions

Para 1

GENERAL

Thinking Actors reserves the right to refuse or withdraw membership. Violence, abuse, harassment of any form, damage to equipment or premises or any form of illegal activity on the premises will not be tolerated. Anyone engaging in any such activities will have their membership revoked and Thinking Actors reserves the right to pursue matters further. We support an equal opportunities policy.

Members visit us and attend workshops and classes at their own risk. The workshop leaders have the right to remove individuals from workshops where their behaviour is deemed to be detrimental to the quality of the session for the majority.

It is your responsibility to ensure that we have your correct address, phone number and email address at all times and that our records are kept updated. Thinking Actors is compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Please refer to our privacy policy for further information.

Students are expected to arrive on time for workshops and classes. Latecomers may not be admitted, and no refund will be given. Any issued invoice(s) must be settled.

Non-attendance or persistent lateness is viewed as demonstrating a lack of professionalism that may be deemed incompatible with your ongoing membership of our services.

Para 2

COMMITMENT

We work with emerging and established talent. We work with people who are willing to commit to a process of creative exploration and development and who can demonstrate a passion for acting. We value your integrity and reliability.

Para 3

NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY

No roll-over, credit or refund is available for any missed classes. You remain liable to pay the full fee for missed session(s) to cover our administration time, planning and other costs.

All management decisions are final.

All planned absence MUST BE NOTIFIED in writing via email to info@thinkingactors.co.uk seven days prior to the class that you will be absent from.

An unplanned absence on the day of a class must be notified by midday, at the latest, by emailing info@thinkingactors.co.uk, or via a text message to 07970 828092.

Communication through Social Media Messaging platforms is not acceptable.

In line with other establishments, and following a trial class, we request a minimum attendance commitment of three months or one academic term (whichever is the longest).

One months notice is required if you decide to discontinue this agreement.

Para 4

THINKING ACTORS' CANCELLATION POLICY

All classes are held subject to a minimum group number decided by the company. Schedules and prices are subject to change. In the event that the company cancels a scheduled class or workshop that you have booked and paid for, a full refund will be issued within 7 working days. The company is not liable for any additional costs that cancellation or change of schedule may incur. We operate a strict 'no refunds' policy once your booking has been confirmed and a commitment to attend has been made.

Para 5

GENERAL PAYMENT AND INVOICING

Payments are due upon receipt of our invoice. Clients are invoiced weekly or monthly and an electronic payment receipt is issued for your records. All credit card, debit card and direct debit options are available.

Booking workshops

Workshops must be paid for at the time of booking. Thinking Actors does not accept cheques. All credit card, debit card and direct debit options are available.

Para 6

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Thinking Actors reserves the right to withdraw or amend promotional offers without notice. By agreeing to accept a 'free place' on a workshop or course, you agree to attend the session that you have registered for. All such offers are limited, in terms of group numbers, and failure to attend is unfair to the many other applicants who were unsuccessful. Failure to attend any accepted offer of a free place will result in a £25.00 fee. By registering through email or online through our website, you agree to these terms.

Para 7

CONSULTANCY FEES

We charge a consultancy fee of £30.00 per hour to cover our time and advice. This includes all project consultancy and advice services outside of packaged agreements in addition to general meeting requests. Failure to attend an agreed appointment, or a late notice to cancel will result in your full liability for this standard meeting fee. Please refer to Thinking Actors' Cancellation Policy Para in this document
