About the Course

Acting Coach Peter Carroll is a highly experienced practitioner specialising in Stanislavski's Method and The Meisner Technique. Peter trained in The Meisner Technique in New York. His clients can be seen in FX/BBC 'Devs', BBC 'Flatmates', Netflix 'Dracula', ITV 'Sanditon', BBC 'Our Girl', NBC 'This Is Us', Channel 4/HBO 'It's A Sin', BBC 'Eastenders', Sky Atlantic 'Domina', 20th Century 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' and BBC's 'Alma's Not Normal'. Peter is also a Higher Education guest practitioner and acting lecturer - specialising in screen acting and The Meisner Technique. Peter Carroll is a member of British Actors' Equity, Spotlight and The Royal Television Society. Peter is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy and an alumnus of The Acting Studio New York.

Block 3 starts Tues. April 2nd, 2024. Early application is strongly advised for this popular Manchester acting class. This class runs Tuesday evenings from 06.45pm-08.45pm.

Beginners are welcome. Please note: this is a rolling class. Students must make a minimum commitment of three consecutive months. Please refer to full terms and conditions. We welcome returning students.

Our classes are held at The Friends' Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester City Centre. This class is very much an 'actors' gym'; providing on-going professional development for emerging and established talent.

We provide high quality, structured training - working with both The Meisner Technique and Stanislavski's System. Acting teacher Peter Carroll is an actor, director and Academic Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. Peter is an alumnus of The Acting Studio New York.

Once your application has been reviewed and approved, a non-refundable deposit of £105 is due via direct debit. This will be your first monthly payment. Further monthly subscription payments of £105 will be processed on the first day of each month for as long as you remain enrolled. There is an agreed minimum commitment of 3 months - or one 'block'. One month's notice is required to cancel this agreement following the completion of your minimum commitment.

There is no credit or roll-over for missed classes. During your application, you will be requested to tick a box to acknowledge our full terms and conditions. Your data will be stored securely and in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Thinking Actors is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).
